Event: Free Medical Care for Uninsured on MLK Day

Kaiser Permanente Opens Doors and Cares for Medically Underserved in Honor of Dr. Martin Luther King

What: Kaiser Permanente will advance Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.’s vision of service by offering free immunizations, screenings, and health exams to children and adults in need. The free medical services are available at two locations: Inner City Health Center and Kaiser Permanente's Aurora Centrepoint Medical Offices.

When: 9 a.m.-4 p.m. Monday, Jan. 21, 2008

Where: Kaiser Permanente Aurora Centrepoint Medical Offices, 14701 E. Exposition Ave.; Inner City Health Center (Kaiser Permanente volunteers will staff the center for the day), 3405 Downing Street, Denver.

Services offered at both Kaiser Permanente Aurora Centrepoint Medical Offices and Inner City Health Center will include:

  • Wellness exams for men, women, and children
  • Prostate cancer screenings for men
  • Breast exams for women
  • PAP tests for women
  • Pediatric vision screenings
  • Pediatric hearing tests
  • Immunizations for children (please bring a current copy of your child’s immunization record)
  • Pediatric body mass index
  • Blood pressure, blood glucose, cholesterol, and diabetes screenings.
Services offered only at Kaiser Permanente Aurora Centrepoint Medical Offices will include:
  • Mammograms (limited space available)
